Lok Sewa Aayog also known as Public Service Commission.
Introduction
After the establishment of Democracy on BS 2007 BS civil service was started for independently according to B.S 2008 year Ashad 1. For this purpose the Public Service Commission was established on 15 June 1951 A.D. For The selection of suitable candidates to the civil service works, Interim Constitution of Nepal, 2063, Chapter 13 is on the Public Service Commission has been arranged.
Formation
According to Article 125 of the Interim Constitution of Nepal 2063 Nepal will be a Public Service Commission consists of a Chairman and Members as may be required. Chairman and members shall be appointed for 6 years. Chairman and members of the Supreme Court on the same grounds and in the same manner as a judge may be removed.
Selection Process
Public Service Commission Procedure Act, 2066 of one or more examinations, according to the Commission any of the following selection of suitable candidates shall be followed:
A) open competitive written examination,
B) experimental open competitive examination,
C) choice,
D) Interview and
E) other methods prescribed by the Commission.
Chair meetings of the Commission, members of the task is assigned to coordinate and policy directives. The Commission will be under the chief executive, as a secretary. Who does the following work: the
1) Implementation of decisions of the Commission.
2) administrative and fiscal activities in accordance with law, monitoring, coordination and control.
The following are five Division of the Central Office of the Commission under which action through the Commission's work will be editing needs:
1) Examination Division
2) Modify the question and recommended Division
3) Administration and Planning Division
4) Testing Technology and Curriculum Division
5) Law Division
