Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience of hydropower development and direct project management from design stage through construction and commissioning in Nepal and possibly internationally
- A deep working knowledge of international best practice environmental and social, and health and safety procedures. Experience of IFC's standards is preferred.
- Experience on hydropower projects promoted or financed by international energy companies or investors that incorporate such international best practice
- Strong academic credentials including a bachelor's and preferably master's degree in relevant engineering disciplines from well-regarded universities. International university education will be a plus. Additional business or financial qualifications will be a plus.
- Strong communication and fluent spoken and written English skill is essential
- Overall understanding of the relevant Government of Nepal policies, acts and regulations in the hydropower and infrastructure sector
